- I told a middle schooler "you can't do that" and called a foul for hand checking. The coach exclaimed "yes you can!" I immediately informed the kid that his coach was right and I was wrong. You can do that four more times......

- Funniest Referee Moment: 2nd year in SABO working the boys Middle School championship it was very hot packed gym and the sweat was pouring - Dad in the front row says “ hey ref I’m going to my car to get my fishing pole ….cause you making a retention pond out there” I had to really focus hard not to laugh too much 🤣

- Funniest referee moment: I have gone to officiate games and left uniform articles at home many times, i.e. jacket, pants, shirt, socks and my entire bag. But...one time I arrived at a contest only to discover I packed two left shoes. I was prepared to officiate the game in those shoes but luckily my partner had an extra pair of shoes in his bag 😅
- If I could have one super power: It would be the powers of Professor X from the X-Men.

- Funniest referee moment – 2 Years ago Riverside vs Sandalwood, high level boys’ game, going from old trail to new lead in transition I am racing down the court, get tripped up, literally roll over, bounce back up, get to lead, call a foul on illegal contact by defender all in one motion!😂

- Funniest referee moment : Got run over by a defender trucking the offensive player trying to get open on an in-bounds play and ended up 3 rows in the stands full of people. As my partners ran over to check on me, i blew my whistle and raised my fist for a foul laying on my back in the stands 😂

- 1 Fun fact : I was talked into starting basketball officiating at the University of Kentucky by my future big brother in my fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha, and officiating all sports was my only job in college.

- Funniest Referee moment - Second year as a college official. There was a women's college coach who wanted to talk about every call during a dead ball. Usually, when we are shooting free throws, and near her bench. So after the 4th time, the opposing coach called me over during a dead ball and said " Hey Bob, you have been talking to that coach everytime down, I tell you what, why don't you get a picnic basket, some cheese and some wine and take her to lunch"?She said it loud enough so the other coach heard her. Both coaches laughed hysterically. 😂
